Above & Beyond Children's Museum Announces New Board Members and Honors Past President Paul Mentink

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (August 7, 2018) – The Above & Beyond Children's Museum enlists three new members to the Board of Directors and honors board member Paul Mentink. Joining the board of directors are Stacy Hetherington, SPHR, Sr. Manager, Human Resources - New Product Development and Business Teams at Kohler Co., Chris Hahn, Director of Marketing - Hospitality & Real Estate at Kohler Co. and Mike Tietjen, Director of Accounts and Partner at Dynamic. Hetherington, Hahn and Tietjen join a team of 12 board members that help support the museum in outreach, fundraising, volunteering, and programming with Executive Director Emily Rendall-Araujo.

Above & Beyond Children’s Museum honors Paul Mentink, Registered Architect / Vice President of Abacus Architects, for 7 years of service to the board of directors. Mentink, who stepped down in December 2017, served in various roles including President and Past President. Lynda Torke, vice president of Torke Coffee Roasting Co., is the current President and joined the board in 2010.

Stacy Hetherington, SPHR, Sr. Manager, HR – NPD and Business Teams, Kohler Co.
Stacy grew up in Wisconsin and attended University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for her undergraduate studies and later went through the Executive Program at Marquette University to earn her MBA. She recently boomeranged back to Wisconsin from Chicago where Stacy worked as a consultant with Accenture focused on change management before holding global roles in human resources at TransUnion and Grainger, LLC. Stacy joined Kohler Co. in January 2017 and is currently in human resources supporting the Kitchen & Bath New Product Development organization. She has a passion for innovation and is excited to contribute to an environment full of positive educational experiences for children.

Christopher Hahn, Director of Marking-Hospitality & Real Estate, Kohler Co.
Christopher and his family moved to Sheboygan County in 2015 from their home state of New York. Christopher moved to join Kohler Co.’s Hospitality & Real Estate division where he is now their Director of Marketing. He recently completed a graduate degree from Northwestern’s Medill School of Integrated Marketing Communications and is bringing that knowledge to our museum’s community, membership and sponsor outreach.

Michael Tietjen, Director of Accounts and Partner, Dynamic
As the Director of Accounts and partner at Dynamic, Michael is responsible for supporting the overall planning, leadership and direction of client relationships. With more than 10 years of experience managing various boards, clients and projects in the Milwaukee area, Michael brings marketing and communications expertise. Michael is a native to Sheboygan and an active member of the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce and Sheboygan County Book Festival. He resides in Shorewood with his wife Stacey, son Oliver and daughter River.

Above & Beyond Children's Museum of Sheboygan County is a 501 C 3 community funded,
visitor supported non-profit organization. The Museum was established in 1993 commemorating the 25th anniversary in 2018 with a remarkable list of historic and recent accomplishments achieved all while focusing on the museum’s steadfast mission to benefit the children and their families. The museum is located at 902 N. 8th Street in Sheboygan.
