Jackie Erdman to Lead Above & Beyond Children's Museum as Executive Director

Erdman to Strengthen Local Childre'ns Museum with Passion, Enriching Relationships

Above & Beyond Children's Museum (ABCM) announces the appointment of Jacqueline (Jackie) Erdman as Executive Director. 

“I’m elated to join an incredible team of dedicated staff, volunteers and Board Members at Above & Beyond Children’s Museum,” said Erdman. “I look forward to continuing to build strategic and creative relationships to sustain and grow the museum.”

As the Executive Director of ABCM, Erdman will engage the community in supporting museum initiatives and build creative educational partnerships in accordance with the museum’s mission. In her role Erdman will work with a passionate team of associates, board members and volunteers to manage museum fundraising, grant writing, marketing, human resources, operations, and strategic planning.

“Jackie’s involvement at the helm of the our museum will ensure that we continue to elevate the museum’s stronghold in the community as a place for families from our community and beyond for discovery-based imaginative learning and programs,” said Tim Saeger, ABCM Board President and Financial Associate of Thrivent Financial. “As an integrated community member and a seasoned non-profit professional she will continue to strengthen and nurture community partnerships and forge novel relationships in collaboration with our strong Board of Directors.”

Prior to joining ABCM, Erdman served as the Executive Director of Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC) where she led the organization since November 2018. Previously Erdman served in relatable roles at non-profit organizations in Southeast Wisconsin including the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Gallery 224 in Port Washington and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Office of Development & Alumni Relations in Milwaukee. She is involved in the following non-profit and professional community organizations: Sheboygan Area Non-profit Network, Make on the Lake’s Mini-Maker Faire of Sheboygan, Sheboygan Rotary Satellite Club, and National Association of Professional Women. Erdman holds both a Master of Arts Degree in Art History and Art Museum Studies Certificate from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management and a Minor in Communications / Public Relations from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. She and her husband Dustin and young daughter Winnie reside in Sheboygan.

Erdman’s first day at Above & Beyond Children’s Museum will be Monday, April 6 concluding her time serving the Sheboygan Theatre Company on April 3. Erdman fills the roll of Executive Director following Emily Rendall-Araujo’s impending departure to relocate her family to France.

Above & Beyond Children's Museum of Sheboygan County is a 501(c)(3) community funded, visitor supported non-profit organization.
